Documents Required to export vehicles from the US

  • Original Title or Manufacturer Certificate of Origin (front and back) or a State Department of Motor Vehicles certified copy of the Original Title, notarized by the representative state’s notary public (of the state the vehicle is registered). Seller and Purchaser must appear on the Title or Certificate. ** If the seller is NOT a dealer, an Original Title must be obtained in the seller’s name. A Certificate is not allowed for transactions where the seller is not a dealer.
  • Original BILL OF SALE, NOT an Invoice.
  • A Notarized Power of Attorney signed by the Ultimate Purchaser (The new owner, NOT a representative or agent) of the Vehicle.
  • A Notarized Letter (on company letterhead) signed by the Ultimate Purchaser (The new owner, NOT a representative or agent) authorizing DHL Global Forwarding to present documentation to Customs for Export Purposes.
  • Corporate documents required to identify the person signing the documents as a Corporate Officer. (Certified copy in native language and English Translation (Notarized).
  • Picture identification with signature verification required from Owner of the Vehicle according to the Power of Attorney (Passport).

 

*Self-Propelled Vehicles include any automobile, truck, tractor, bus, forklifts, push tractors, motorcycle, motor home, agricultural machinery, construction and/or special use equipment and any other vehicle used or designated for running on land but not on rails.
